ah, I'm almost finished with the first one. I'm probably gonna continue reading after season 2 is over, as it's probably gonna be annoying to follow two different versions of the same storyline at the same time.

Have you seen ep 1 & ep 2 of Season 2 yet?

Aw cool, episode 2 is out!
I have to hand it to them, the first season follows the book pretty closely
My problem now is that I know what will happen so part of the reason I'm watching season 2 is to see how well they manage to capture the book.

Yeah, some things are still slightly different though. On the show Dany's wedding night seemed a lot like rape to me, and reading the book I didn't feel the same way. Things are more perspective based than on the show. Also, the show has boobs... Emilia Clarke's boobs.

Anyway, I think the show is a good complement to the book. It's true to the source material, while understanding that a book is a different medium than TV.

Anyway, I'm really not caring for the Stannis storyline so far. That may be because I'm not invested in those people's storylines though.

To be honest after reading the books, I pictured Stannis looking more badass than that.
Also Melisandre being alot more hot than she is in the series.
Ah yes the boobs...Got to love Littlefingers "businesses" ))

What the series did do right and without help from the books is the Dothraki language.

I haven't read the books yet but watched all of season 1 last week to get caught up before season 2 - definitely loving it! We only just had episode 1 of season 2 air on Sunday
