Yeah, this is quite the resurrection. I lost touch with basically everyone, so it's good to see this is back. Hopefully we can restore it to its former glory.

Edit: The fact that swears are censored with a single * has thrown me for a loop about half a dozen times now.

Like everyone has stated so many times, this forum won't reignite by being based solely on nostalgia. It's just we can't reach out to a new crowd without some sort of commonality, a theme or gimmick that can be used to attract new members. Anime wouldn't be bad considering we have all dabbled. Video games? Eh, there's probably enough of those boards... I think anime and manga with a general literature (including novels and comics) motif, with video games, gfx, animation, and tv/movies being the background elements would suffice. We just need to get 009 to expand the forum a bit before we invite people.

I don't think there's too much we can do in trying to find something original, because, for every sub-forum we have, there is a forum 10x bigger than we are devoted solely to that (I do like including literature, though). The thing that makes this forum unique is simply all the history that we have, which I find kind of awesome in that it began as a DBZGT forum and eventually floated off and became its own entity. The best way to get people in is simply with a reputation of being a Good Forum. Best way to start off possibly is word of mouth, and keep up with good discussions and good moderation. Nothing wrong with being another nerd hub or what-have-you.

Life changes: I went to university, did a creative Bachelors & Masters. Couldn't find a job, so I went freelance as a web designer/developer and built a solid portfolio and network. Formed an agency earlier this year with two other guys, which has been one * of a ride, but we are doing just awesome. Broke off a relationship after eight years, and ran away to Barcelona with a married man for teh lulz.

I am now living in the South of the UK, and am just a mental, creative, loud-mouth single lady who loves video games, shoes and vodka.

... who am I kidding? I'm no lady ;-;
