Twas the night before christmas, as I lay in my bed, I head a commotion downstairs.
"Robbers?" Was my first thought, as I slipped out of the covers and put my ear to the door.
There was a sort of sliding noise, and what sounded like muffled cursing.
I grabbed my baseball bat, that I always kept by my bed for security reasons, and slowly headed downstairs. I was careful not to make a sound, but every now and then a step would creak.
When I got down, the sounds seemed to emanate from the living room. Carefully, I looked through the door opening to see what the deal was.
What I saw filled me with shock and juvenile delight at the same time. Next to the tree, through the opening of the chimney came two red legs wearing black leather boots.
"Santa?" I exclaimed excitedly.
